On August 24, the Chinese Chamber hosted Ms. Bridget Lee, Director of Hong Kong Trade Development Council Chicago (HKTDC) at Franklin University. In her remarks, Ms. Lee addressed: Opportunities for Ohio companies to participate in China's multi-billion dollar Belt & Road Initiative; Effects of the 100-Day Trade Plan between the U.S. trade and China; Hong Kong's economic role in comparison with other Asian cities such as Shanghai and Shenzhen; The value of Hong Kong as a banking and business launching pad for doing business in China.
As the Director of the HKTDC office in Chicago, Ms. Lee has over 25 years of international business marketing experience. She has been involved in the Council's US-China, US-Asia trade and investment initiatives through engagement with the private sector and key stakeholder groups located within the Midwest. Prior to HKTDC, Ms. Lee spent more than a decade in the Asia Pacific region as a global marketing professional, with expertise with American, French, German, and Australian companies
Established in 1966, the HKTDC is a statutory body dedicated to promoting Hong Kong trade. Its mission is to explore opportunities for Hong Kong companies, especially small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), and connect them with business partners around the world.
